Island State Park Visitor Center
Nestled in the dense forest and nature area, if you really look hard,
you will see a building that blends so well with the natural surroundings
you would think it "grew" there. The Visitor Center. Here
you can get just about any information about the area and its nature
from the Parks well informed crew and volunteers. There is a large
speaking room where Island and Nature speaking tours are held, as
well as other events. Also in this room is a very nice exhibit of
the historic light house. The center has an outdoor deck where one
can marvel at the nature while getting the information wanted. The
folks here really love their job and enjoy sharing any information
you may need to help make your visit safe and fun.
