About  Cathi-Mari
Cathi was one of those people who saw the meaning in life.
Even the most simple things brought her full attention. She would
gaze at it with the curiosity of a child. She wrote short stories
for children, and as a nurse, she helped the injured. Always giving
and never taking. Animals, nature and music were her true passion.
Butterflies would even feel her kindness, often landing on her arm
appearing to enjoy her company as she spoke to them and smiled.
She truly saw the beauty in God's every creation.
To know Cathi was to know life. She was known
as the poet who never used a big I, always a little i.
Cathi loved the beach, and Hunting Island was
a special place to her. She loved the nature there.
Although her footprints have long since washed away,
I can still feel her hand when I walk the beach
at Hunting Island.

Cathi, the things I wish I had said more...

Thank you...

Most important things I learned from Cathi...

It is what is on the inside that really matters...
One can not truly love until one loves oneself..
Even the most simplistic things in nature are gifts from God...
God never closes a door without opening a window....
Tomorrow will bring changes and a new beginning...
Kindness begins with a simple smile.

Blessed are those who expect nothing
from efforts and help given
for they shall never be disappointed.

Cathi Mari Cornetet, taken from us in a traffic accident, Hwy 170, September 3, 1995
In our short time together, I learned the true meaning of life
Your kindness is a seed I shall carry with me and spread
I pray the love we shared could be taken with you
On your voyage to the other side

Thank you for the gift to have loved you
the memories still live
You were always a best friend.

I miss you Cathi-Mari
